Well still no word on travel dates to bring Petch home! No shocker there. I sort of feel like a child sponsor at this point. You know.... send money, get photos and a couple sentences on how the child is doing. Somehow it doesn't seem like we ever get any closer to bringing this child (our child)home. I think it is comparable to a hamster running around that wheel in the cage. I know somewhere people are working on our case, and yet I feel like I'm running in the wheel, getting nowhere except TIRED!
The Holt staff will talk with Holt Sahathai again this week. I have asked if it would help if I go to Thailand and advocate to bring him home, get things in order. These are sensitive issues, and one must be careful how we handle it. We are approved by our Country, and Thailand to adopt him, it's just....... paperwork.

I can TOTALLY relate, Hollie! The wait is tough! Do I remember correctly, that there have been issues with his citizenship??? We have a similar (different situation than the norm) scenario playing out for us, too! We've had Lily's photos since last June!!! Had been told we'd likely need two trips, and that they'd *likely* be fall of '08 for the first one, and spring of '09 for the second, when we'd bring her home. Well, as you can tell, neither have happened!
I am so sorry, though, for you, your family, and sweet Petch! I know our kids are struggling to understand it all, and feeling like it's not going to happen. How are yours handling the wait?
Hang in there, Hollie! It WILL happen!!! I'm going to step up my prayers for your situation. God is more than able, and wants your boy home, too!!!
OMG...we are TOTALLY at the same point with the wait. Hang in there...we can all get through this together with prayer chains and positive thoughts!
I am praying that your file makes it to the top of the priority list. There are a few of you guys out there that have waited so long. I am praying for all you guys!
